Korte Jan is our most versatile everyday bike. Fast, agile and extra-ordinary good at transporting your stuff. Each bike is hand-built in recycled materials and each bike is unique.
Ordinary Jan.
Raw, durable and not too expensive.
The classic Korte Jan frame of recycled materials, built with new components, such as internal Shimano nexus 3 gears and foot brake, sturmey archer drum brakes or rim brakes at the front.
The frame is not repainted so it appears with the colors and patina of the original frame. Approximate price DKK 8,300-9,500.
Fast Jan.
Fast colors and good gears.
It is still a bike with good load capacity but built a little lighter and with more and better gears, possibly disc brakes etc.
Can be repainted in fast color. Approximate price DKK 8,000-11,000,
Fancy Jan.
We make the frame specifically for you, and you are allowed to determine the color of the frame.
Together we talk about which driving characteristics it should be optimized for and you will be allowed to get involved in the process. It is of course a bike with a larger budget for components and the price is very much dependent on what you choose. Price from DKK 11,000.

The biggest CO2 villain in the production of bicycle frames is the material itself. There is a long way from iron ore in the ground to good steel pipes that are suitable for making bicycle frames.
And Denmark floats with abandoned bicycles where the frame is absolutely fine. Often we find frames made of tubes of a very good quality. It is a shame if all that bicycle frame material has to go to waste.
That is why we cut old frames into pieces to get good pipes for bicycle frame production. From this we build bikes according to our own design and geometry - An idea that started as bikes for ourselves.
